Healthier Lips by Rubina Ratnakar

Healthy and glowing skin is something all of us cherish and make a lot of effort to achieve. Have you ever thought about doing special care for your lips as well? Well, if you have not, we’ve got you covered. Lips are very sensitive and need a lot of attention when it comes to skincare. In this blog, Rubina Ratnakar highlights some ways by which you can care for your lips and have healthier lips than before.

You shall start by moisturizing your lips daily. For this purpose, you can choose a lip balm and apply it every night and all the times when you are without lipstick. Since you are going to use lip balm for a very long time you should look for the right ingredients. Choose the ones with Vitamin E, Almond oil, or glycerine.

Since you are going to wear lipstick all day long, make sure you choose the right type of lipstick. Glosses and creamy finishes are good for your lips but the ones with a matte finish can lead to dryness. You should choose the texture of your lipstick wisely.

Always apply lip balm before applying the lipstick. This will not only make your lipstick last longer but will also protect your lips by providing the right amount of moisture.

Have you ever heard about lip scrubs? Well, if you haven’t, there are ways to scrub your lips and remove the dead cells. One way of preparing a scrub is mixing sugar with petroleum jelly and scrubbing your lips with that paste.

Rose petals are the perfect thing to use when you are looking for ways to get rosy and healthy lips. Crush some rose petals and mix them in honey. Apply this paste like a pack on your lips and leave it for 10 minutes. Instead of washing your lips, wipe away the pack with a soft cotton cloth. You will see instant results.

Some of the other things to do to attain healthier lips are to avoid smoking, using good beauty products, maintaining a healthy diet, and avoiding things that are rich in caffeine.
